Ticketing chaos for the Indian Premier League 2023 final game at Narendra Modi Stadium

Since MS Dhoni is going to play in another Indian Premier League final, fans are very interested in the 16th version of the tournament’s championship game. Fans had a hard time getting their tickets at the Narendra Modi stadium because of how excited they were. The BCCI has teamed up with PayTm to sell the tickets online. But even after booking their places, the fans still have to go to the stadium to get the hard copy. Because of this rule, there were long lines of fans standing in the sun in front of the ticket office at the stadium. A video of the chaos that was going on at the place went viral on the internet.

Fans are mad at the board for bad management:

The fans, who are the most important people in Indian cricket, felt cheated when they found out they had to pick up physical copies of their passes. In a video shared on Twitter, a fan can be heard saying that he paid the convenience fee to the website where he booked his tickets, but he was still at the stadium, waiting in a long line, to get a physical copy because he couldn’t get into the stadium to watch the final without it.

There were also other tweets, which we’ll talk about below, in which fans complained about how to book tickets. A fan said that tickets disappeared as soon as they went on sale.

CSK will play in the final against the winner of Qualifier 2:

Chennai beat the Gujarat Titans in Qualifier 1 and earned a spot in the final. In Qualifier 2, the Titans will play the Mumbai Indians, and the winner will play CSK at the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad. MI had already won the eliminator match against the Lucknow Super Giants to move on to the next round of the playoffs.
