Dinesh Karthik will join commentary team for the Ashes in 2023.

Dinesh Karthik, who plays for RCB and India, will return to the commentary booth after IPL 2023. The wicketkeeper and hitter like this new part-time job. Two years ago, he did his first job as a commentator during a Test match between England and India. Since then, he has done several other jobs as a commentator. Recently, Dinesh was seen commentating on the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023. In Ashes 2023, Dinesh will be back behind the mic. Karthik, who will play for RCB in the IPL in 2023, announced it on Twitter.

Karthik wrote:

“One MASSIVE announcement before the IPL as a player starts… So proud to be amongst these legends. Surreal feeling. Just felt like sharing! Bas. That’s all. Thanks @SkyCricket for giving me this opportunity and honour.”

Dinesh still plays in the IPL even though he has played 26 Tests, 94 ODIs, and 60 T20Is for India. Because of how well he batted for RCB last year, he was chosen for India’s T20I team and played in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 in October and November. However, India failed to win the event, and Dinesh got the sack, after which he has not returned to the national side.

The 37-year-old is still a part of RCB, and in IPL 2023, he will try to help the team win its first prize. As the leading scorer for RCB in the IPL 2023, he got 330 runs in 16 games. His average number of runs was 55, and his hit rate was 183.33. He was a great scorer, so the BCCI trusted him to do the same job for Team India.

This year, RCB will be counting on leader Faf du Plessis, star batsman Virat Kohli, explosive Glenn Maxwell, and Dinesh Karthik to put up or chase down big scores. On April 2, RCB’s first game is against the Mumbai Indians in Bengaluru.
