I think Gill will be as well-known as Kohli or Tendulkar: Former CSK opener says a lot of nice things about GT star

Shubman Gill continues to do great things at the highest level. He hasn’t been stopped since August 2022, when he got his first international hundred. Gill had two hundreds in Tests, two hundreds in ODIs, and his first hundred in T20Is when the IPL 2023 season started. In match 62, which took place on Monday, May 15, Gujarat Titans (GT) beat Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 34 runs. The hundred was Gill’s first in the IPL.

Gill is second on the list of IPL 2023 batters who have scored the most runs. He has 576 runs in 13 games, with an average of 48 and a strike rate of 146.19, which is close to 150. He has four 50s and a 100. The right-hander is acting like a gentleman, and he has definitely gotten bigger over the past few years. So, Robin Uthappa, who used to bat for India, talked a lot about Gill.

A giant on par with Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli: Uthappa, who won the IPL with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK), told Hindustan Times, “I definitely think he has the potential to be as big as Virat Kohli or Sachin Tendulkar. I have no doubt that he has what it takes. He is a great player who is in great shape and making some great cricket right now.

Uthappa also said, “I think and feel that Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal are the next two big things in Indian cricket.”

In IPL 2023, Rajasthan Royals (RR) opener Yashasvi Jaiswal has also made a lot of noise. He has scored 575 runs in 13 games, or 166.18 runs per game. This includes a hundred years and four fifty-year periods.
